Week 11 – John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass

Writing your ebook!  I am still having a bit of a problem working out how I am going to do this.  Writing an ebook is quite scary for me as I do not particularly like writing. So if I am going to succeed in the Internet Marketing business, writing and writing well written, interesting articles, books etc. is something I am going to HAVE to get good at.

The first video this week from John explained that if you are having problems writing your book you can always get someone else to write it for you, John recommended a site called ELance.  At the site you look up writers to find one that would be suitable for the type of book that you want written and contact them, pay them and they write the book for you.  Easy!  Except, they might not write in the style that you want therefore you may have to change some of the book.  Might be easier to put your head down, fingers poised and start writing yourself.

John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass Week 10 Update

Week 10 of John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass was again focused on niche selection.  Many of the 2010 students have chosen a niche but there are a few, including myself, still wondering which niche is the best for them.

John again recommended we should do more research on Clickbank marketplace to find a niche that we would find interesting and profitable.  I have been checking Clickbank and then doing a Google Keyword search and finding it very confusing as some of the niches that I am thinking of have large keyword search results but are not popular on Clickbank. Anyway, I am nearly there, just a little bit more research to work out whether to ‘go deeper’ into my niche.

Niche Creation

John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass Update Week 9.  This week John advised us that we would be concentrating on niche selection as a continuation from last week’s lesson.  Last week we were asked to write down topics that we could use as a profitable niche.  John’s personal opinion is that you do not need to do any keyword research, what you need to do is find out what people are spending money on.  If people are spending money on something, then that equals a profitable niche.  The best place to do this is the ClickBank marketplace, where you can look through all the categories down the left hand side, or you can search for keywords. We are told that some people advise not to go to a “crowded “marketplace because there is so much competition.  If it is a popular niche and people are spending money there is also the potential to make money if you do it correctly.

JohnThornhill’s Marketing Masterclass – Product Creation – Finding A Niche

Hi everyone!  Week 8 of John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass update. In my last post I mentioned to you that John asked us to check out the blogs of everyone in the class and leave comments.  I have spent so much time looking at fellow class member’s blogs and commenting on their incredible achievements that I haven’t been writing any blog posts. The blogs that have been created by the fellow students are amazing.  All right, some people are a lot more experienced that others but everyone is going at the own speed and everyone should be very proud of what they have achieved in such a short time. The most important part about this course is not to give up, just keep going at your own pace and finish the course, it doesn’t matter when you finish, as long as you finish.

John Thornhill’s MasterClass – Blog Comments

In last week’s training, John asked use to try and visit and comment on other student’s blogs at least 5 times per week.  I have found some amazing blogs and incredible content.  The only problem with checking out other peoples blogs is I don’t know when to stop.  Every day I check on another couple of blogs and every day I am blown away by the skills that people have.

The headers and footers are fantastic, sidebars are full of great links and information, everyone is doing an amazing job and everyone should feel very proud of themselves.  One thing that I have noticed in the blog posts is a common consensus that everyone is enjoying the Marketing Masterclass course and that everyone can’t wait for the next lesson each week.  The really big thing that has struck me is the fact, that people are spending time going to people’s blogs and leaving comments and for me that makes it all worthwhile.

Marketing Masterclass Week 7 Review

Week 7 of John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass was relatively easy.  John conducted the first webinar for students of the Masterclass program on Sunday afternoon, his time, which was actually, 7am Monday, my time.  I couldn’t attend because my mornings (or most mornings) are spent ‘encouraging’ my daughter to get ready for school. So even though I could not attend the webinar, John recorded it and sent it for all the students to watch.

It was good to see that other students have experienced some of the same issues that I have and that John can answer those problems so easily. The webinar went for quite a long time but it didn’t seem long at all, not like it use to be at school when you would be watching the clock on the wall waiting for the lesson to finish.
